For decades, the store enjoyed unrivaled market dominance—until the imminent arrival of national competitor REI signaled a major shift. To proactively address this new challenge, Diamond Brand’s owner and CFO engaged Windham Designs to revitalize the store’s brand identity and image.
Solution
We began this comprehensive rebrand by eliminating unnecessary colors, marks, and visual clutter from Diamond Brand’s logo and marketing materials, returning to the company’s roots. As Asheville’s original and most trusted outdoor outfitter, we made this legacy the cornerstone of the new brand—reaffirming Diamond Brand’s status as the community’s locally owned, reliable retailer.

We executed a complete overhaul—updating store signage, merchandising, advertising, website, and messaging. We also launched targeted marketing initiatives to sustain customer engagement and actively supported the local community through athlete sponsorships, events, and seasonal promotions.
